The American rapper stepped into the Super Bowl spotlight, but it was his youngest daughter who captured everyone’s attention.
Jay-Z made a rare public appearance with his two daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter, at the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 9, 2025, sparking online buzz.

The trio was spotted on the field at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans before the championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
In a widely shared moment, Rumi waved to the crowd with both hands, appearing excited and engaged with the atmosphere.
Blue stood beside her father, looking composed, while Jay-Z kept a relaxed stance. The moment offered a rare glimpse of the youngest Carter sibling, who is usually kept out of the public eye.
In the released images, Rumi sported a casual yet stylish outfit. She wore an oversized black and white varsity-style jacket paired with baggy jeans and white sneakers.
She accessorized with a small white crossbody bag featuring a black emblem. Her braided hair was neatly pulled back, highlighting her bright smile as she enjoyed the event.
Blue, now a teenager, opted for a more understated look with a sleek black ensemble and matching shades. Similar to her younger sister, she completed her look with baggy jeans and white sneakers.
She stood confidently next to her father, who wore an all-black outfit consisting of a T-shirt, pants, a beanie, and sunglasses.
As photos and videos of the father-daughter outing circulated online, social media users couldn’t help but comment on Rumi’s striking resemblance to Jay-Z.
On Instagram, one user wrote,“Rumi is really his twin.” Another added,“Nah his genes really crazy his kids are his twins [sic].” Others simply admired the sisters, with one comment reading,“Beautiful girls.”
Many fans were also surprised at how much Rumi has grown, with one saying,“rumi got so big omg [sic].” Another remarked,“Wow, RUMI is her father [sic].”
Someone else noted,“Oh Rumi stole his whole face!! They couldn’t deny those kids if they tried [sic]!” Over on X, one user observed,“Rumi has stopped looking like Bey!!! She is all Jay now!”

Rumi Carter was born on June 13, 2017, at 5:13 a.m. at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. According to official birth records, she arrived first, followed by her twin brother, Sir Carter. Both were delivered by OB/GYN Dr. Paul Crane.
Months before their birth, Beyoncé announced her pregnancy with a now-iconic maternity shoot posted on Instagram on February 1, 2017.
“We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters,” she wrote in the caption.
Though globally famous, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have taken intentional steps to protect their children’s privacy.
In a 2021 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Beyoncé reflected on the challenges of balancing stardom with personal well-being, stating, “I’ve fought to protect my sanity and my privacy because the quality of my life depended on it.”

This approach has led to Rumi and Sir growing up largely out of the public eye, with only occasional glimpses shared by their parents.
Despite being kept largely out of the spotlight, Rumi has already begun showing artistic inclinations. In August 2024, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, shared insights about her grandchildren’s personalities.

Speaking to E! News, she described Rumi as a “natural little star,” while noting that Sir is more drawn to books and electronics. “We got them all, raising them up right,” she said, explaining how the twins have a range of interests spanning from the arts to science.
Tina also suggested that Rumi might follow in the footsteps of her older sister, Blue, who has performed as a backup dancer for Beyoncé. “A budding creative like Rumi will not be denied,” she added. “They’re all artists. How could they not?”
