The Adoption of Alba: A Touching Story

We picture a family as being loved and adored by our parents when we become parents. Unfortunately, plans don’t always work out, and Alba’s birth was no exception.

They Told Him He Could Only Adopt A Baby With An Illness, Disability, Or Behavioral Problems

Even though twenty households took in Alba when her mother abandoned her at an early age, they eventually turned her away. However, a ray of optimism entered her life at that point.

When Luca Trapanese, an Italian gay guy, made the decision to adopt a kid, he encountered several difficulties. He faced social challenges, but in the end, he was given approval to adopt a small girl. Even though this young child had Down syndrome, Luca seemed unfazed. Everyone in their vicinity could see the amazing bond that developed between them.

Luca was informed that he could only adopt a child who had a major disease, a substantial disability, or behavioral problems when he started the adoption process. They had no idea that he would have been content with any of those options.

Luca became Alba’s legal father in 2017 when she was barely 13 days old. Her physical state was the reason why twenty families had already turned down her adoption by then. However, Luca saw Alba as the source of unfathomable joy and contentment in his life, and he felt privileged to be her father. Being a father was something he took very seriously.
